The Center for Academic Effectiveness and Digital Innovation (CAEDI) is a collaborative effort between the offices of Academic Effectiveness & Evaluation and Digital Innovation & eLearning. CAEDI offers leadership and support to the Fort Lewis College community as it confronts changes that are underway in the economy, society and higher education.
The CAEDI team provides multiple areas of expertise including:
- academic and co-curricular assessment
- program assessment and evaluation
- course design
- curriculum and instructional design
- digital accessibility
- learning space design
- education technology integration
- learning data analysis
CAEDI supports faculty, staff, and administrators and serve as liaisons with internal external constituents.

CAEDI encourages instructional innovation at all levels, from individual adoption of new instructional technologies and course design and assessment principles to the development of cutting-edge instructional approaches that reach beyond individual classrooms.
A strategic goal for CAEDI is to facilitate faculty and staff learning networks, based on a learning community model, around shared challenges, harnessing the collective intelligence of network members to create change and find solutions to problems.
