Areas of professional interest/passion, in list format: My passion and interest is serving my community of Montezuma County. I feel interested in working with children, families and individuals. I feel curious about any modality that meets the community but I feel especially interested in somatic therapy, yoga therapy and storytelling. I love engaging with nature, art and drinking up the world with all the senses.

I have taken a circuitous path to get to this point. I have touched on everything from milking cows to guiding in the wilderness, from managing bars to teaching kindergarten. Ultimately, what brought me to this place is seeking connection: seeking connection with self, with the land, with community and with something greater than myself. I found this journey to be full of questions and ongoing. I find myself continuously fascinated by the dualities of life and loving to delve into the complex and messy emotions and notions that come up in relationship to self and others. I believe deeply in the intuition and intelligence of the body and recognize our own body’s intelligence can be skewed by past traumas and patterns that no longer serve us. I value the therapeutic relationship and creating spaces that foster safety, self-awareness and the emergence of the authentic self. Modalities that I have found to be helpful along the way are somatic therapy, yoga, mediation and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I don’t know if cats count as a hobby, but…a year ago I adopted a litter of cats with my partner. Its one of the best decisions I have ever made.  When I'm not herding cats, I enjoy warm frothy drinks, podcasts, hiking, yoga and time with family and friends.
