Relationships are so fundamental in our hardwiring as mammalian beings, but modern society can easily leave us feeling disconnected from others and the natural world. Seeing this, and feeling that pain myself, I have always felt it was my responsibility to find a profession where I could help others feel more connected to themselves and understood by others.

As someone entering the field of social work, my dream is to assist others in the healing process, to foster curiosity for self-exploration and to encourage others to become their most authentic selves. My first goal is to be sure that others feel accurately understood and cared for. My approach to therapy is eclectic: being open to many techniques and theories allows me to pull solutions from different approaches, depending on the experience, context, or situation of the person in question.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Fort Lewis Counseling Center Internship and to learn alongside my colleagues and mentors. Having graduated from FLC in 2021 with a Bachelor's in Psychology, I am excited to give back to a school that has given me so much. Currently, I am a full-time Graduate student of Social Work at Metropolitan State University. Post-degree, I plan to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and would like to work with youth and young adults, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, and helping those with developmental disabilities, anxiety and depression.

I enjoy spending my free time with others, walking my dog, biking, skiing, and slacklining. In recent years I have rekindled my childhood passion for art and painting--something that makes me feel truly alive.
