You are eligible to cancel your housing application if you have not yet assumed occupancy of your housing accommodation. No cancellations will be taken by telephone. You may request a cancellation by filling out the below form, emailing email@example.com from your FLC email account, or faxing a cancellation letter (please include your full name, and signature) to the Housing Office at 970-247-7501.If you have already checked into housing and/or are currently living on campus, and you are planning on withdrawing from FLC as a student, please contact the Student Housing Office to coordinate.
For Spring Term: Cancellations received by December 1 will forfeit $25 of the housing deposit. Those received between December 1 and January 1 will forfeit the entire $150 housing deposit. After January 1, applicants cancelling their housing will forfeit the entire housing deposit and incur a $250 Late Cancellation penalty.
During Fall 2020 your Housing Deposit is refundable up until you check-in or midnight before the first day of class, whichever is sooner. If you are planning on cancelling, we encourage you to do so promptly so we can issue your Housing Deposit refund sooner rather than later.

For Fall and Spring terms: Occupants may cancel the Student Housing Contract prior to the end of the Contract only if the occupant does NOT return to the College as a student for the spring term. Written notification MUST be received by December 1. Notifications received after the due date will result in forfeiture of the housing deposit, and/or additional charges.
If the occupant officially withdraws from the College during the contract period, the applicable room and board assessment is in accordance with the current refund policy published by the Student Billing and Cashiering Office. Please note that the billing will be determined by the date the student officially checks out of housing, rather than the date of withdraw from classes.
Occupants are bound to the Student Housing Contract for the full academic year (August‑May) and may NOT cancel in order to change place of residence to a private home, apartment or other off‑campus accommodation (while remaining a student at Fort Lewis College). If the student begins occupancy in the spring term, the Student Housing contract is for that term only.
For Summer Housing: If the occupant officially withdraws from the College during the contract period, the applicable room assessment will be based on a daily pro rata and the date of official check-out by the occupant. If the withdraw or early termination occurs after 80% of the contract duration, no refund will be issued. Please note that the billing will be determined by the date the student officially checks out of housing, rather than the date of withdraw.
