Below, you'll find important dates and deadlines to to guide you through the Fort Lewis College campus housing and dining application and move-in process.

Housing & Dining application timelines

Housing application for Spring semester 2027 opens October 15, 2026

  • October 15, 2026: Housing application opens at 9:00 am.
  • November 6, 2026: Students who apply and have confirmed admission between October 15 and November 5 will be able to view their housing assignment and roommate details in the housing portal.
  • November 17, 2026: Second round of housing assignments will be available in the housing portal.
  • December 1, 2026: Third round of housing assignments will be available in the housing portal.
  • December 15, 2026: Fourth round of housing assignments will be available in the housing portal.
  • December 22, 2026: Fifth round and final round of housing assignments will be available in the housing portal.
  • January 5, 2027: Applications received after December 22 will receive their housing assignment.
  • January 8, 2027: Spring Move-In: Cancellations received after January 8 incur a $350 cancellation fee.

September 8 Census Date Last date to register for 9 credit hours to meet on campus eligibility
November 23-27 Fall Break All students can stay on campus over break
December 11 Winter Break Move Out  Only students in Mears and Centennial may stay on campus over break

January 26 Census Date Last date to register for 9 credit hrs to meet on-campus housing eligibility requirements
February 12 Mini Break All students may stay on campus
March 15-19 Spring Break All students may stay on campus
April 30 Move-out standard students Must move out within 24 hrs after their final exam
Final deadline is Noon
May 1 Move-out graduates Must move out by 3 pm
