Student involvement is important and fun at Fort Lewis College! Student organizations provide valuable opportunities for students to recognize, develop and strengthen their leadership skills. We have over 80 registered student organizations and several other leadership opportunities including jobs as Resident Assistants, Orientation Leaders and Club Sport Organizers. The Leadership Center serves as the primary resource for information and support for campus involvement opportunities by providing a wide range of services to help students achieve success. Residence Hall Association (RHA)

RHA - Fort Lewis CollegeRHA members have the great job of planning programs and activities for students on campus. Residents often come to RHA with their concerns about living on campus and in turn RHA works to make Fort Lewis College an even better place to live. Students involved with RHA are an integral part of the planning and implementation of many social, educational, cultural and recreational programs designed specifically for Fort Lewis College residential students. RHA is part of the international organization NACURH(National Association of College and University Residence Halls) and RHA members attend conferences across the United States to promote residence hall living. RHA teaches students leadership skills for life, including organizational and communication skills, event planning, teamwork, how to publicize activities, time management and much more! If you are looking for a rewarding experience, meeting new friends and working to enhance your Fort Lewis College experience, RHA is for you!

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)

The NRHH is the recognition branch of NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls). NACURH, as an organization, truly believes that recognition is a "must" in a strong residence hall community. NRHH was established to give recognition to outstanding student leaders within the residence hall systems on their campuses, in their regions and nationally. NRHH recognizes the top 1% of student leaders living on campus.

Hall Government

Hall Government is a student governed organization in each hall and apartment complex which provides social and educational activities to residential students. Each resident is assessed a fee included in his/her housing charges to support Hall Government and RHA events and activities. The Hall Government is a great way to meet other residents within housing, voice your opinions, and gain skills in leadership, accounting and advertising. Joining Hall Government and becoming a member of the executive board or attending Hall Government meetings are a great way to start building your resume.
