About Amy Abel

Amy grew up in Michigan and attended Northern Michigan University for her studies. Her Bachelor’s had an emphasis on neuroscience with leadership roles in a lab that studied ALS in a murine research model. She also participated in a psychology research lab with multiple projects. Her Master’s work focused on the protein basigin and its ability to increase the protein expression of matrix metalloproteinases. She has four years of teaching experience in subjects such as cellular and molecular biology, anatomy and physiology, and evolution.

Amy loves going on hikes and curling up with a good book outside of work.
