Colin Bradley is a visiting instructor of Chemistry at Fort Lewis College. Before joining Fort Lewis, he taught Organic Chemistry and GOB (Introductory General, Organic, and Biochemistry) at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, OR. His teaching approach is heavily influenced by his participation in the Science Literacy Program at the University of Oregon, where educators are introduced to evidence-based active learning techniques which diverge from traditional lecture styles.
During his graduate career at the University of Oregon, Dr. Bradley researched solar energy materials. His emphasis was organic-based electron-selective interfacial layers. Such layers are necessary for state-of-the-art organic and organic-inorganic halide perovskites photovoltaics. Though ubiquitous, the reason for device performance improvements in such devices are not fully understood. Since earning his doctorate, Dr. Bradley has applied his measurement platform to other interfacial materials.
