A community of opportunity
As some of the most important decision makers in business, accountants keep industries all over the world on track for success. At FLC, you’ll acquire the soft and hard skills needed to analyze, record, interpret, and communicate financial transactions, making you the first person to know where a business stands, and where it’s headed. Talk about job security!
Among the total required courses, at least 36 credits must be upper division (300- and 400-level) courses. This major may require additional courses to meet the upper division requirement.

Many Accounting majors get their foot in the door with local firms after their junior year, interview for positions their senior year, and graduate with a job in place. Our highly active chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, a national professional organization for accounting students, hosts weekly speakers and arranges service activities within the business community to build your network of opportunity.
