Understand how markets, businesses, and people make decisions

Professor Paul Clay explains economics to a student working at a computer

The Economics Minor at Fort Lewis College helps you understand how individuals, organizations, and governments make decisions in a world of limited resources. You'll explore microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, market behavior, and strategic decision-making while developing analytical and quantitative skills that complement majors across business, STEM, social sciences, and public policy.

As a student in the AACSB-accredited Katz School of Business, you'll strengthen your ability to evaluate complex problems, interpret data, and understand the economic forces that shape organizations and communities. An economics minor can prepare you for careers in finance, business, government, consulting, or graduate study.
