First-Year Launch Courses
The First-Year Launch is a signature component of FLC's first-year experience. These half-semester, one- credit courses will welcome you to our community and support your success.

All you need to do is give us a call at 970-247-7184 to schedule a registration appointment. Appointments can be held over the phone or via Zoom. If you schedule a phone appointment, you’ll need to be sitting at a computer with internet access during your conversation. The appointment will be your time to create your class schedule. You’ll find out how your prior coursework transferred to FLC, the requirements for your major, the classes you should consider taking in the fall, and how to register for classes.
If you have taken college level courses at another institution or earned an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree, it’s important to submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended to the Office of Admission. If you would like to see the how the credits are awarded, please go to the Transfer Equivalency Table to estimate how your courses will transfer. An official evaluation will be completed before your advising appointment for all submitted transcripts.
If you have taken an Advanced Placement (AP) exam, an International Baccalaureate (IB) program, or a College Level Examination (CLEP) test, you may have earned college credit. It’s important to submit official scores to the Registrar’s Office to be evaluated.
