Academic Standing Appeal

A student who has been Academically Separated may appeal if:

  1. There are documented compelling and unforeseen reasons why academic standards were not met, and
  2. There is a high probability the student’s cumulative GPA can be raised to 2.00 or higher in no more than one additional semester of coursework, determined by having a Quality Point Deficiency of no more than 10 points as determined by the GPA Repair Calculator.

Appeal by submitting an Academic Standing Appeals Package. The deadline will be in the notification letter and email sent to the student. The package includes:

  • Personal statement
  • Copy of the results of your GPA Repair Calculator analysis
  • Documentation supporting the personal statement in the appeal form

Incomplete appeals and appeals received after the published deadline will not be reviewed.

  • The Academic Standards Committee will review your appeal package and your educational record.
  • Appeal decision notifications will be sent to your FLC email address.
