Many ways of learning
There are many ways of learning; education is not a one-size-fits-all situation. One of the things that makes FLC really shine is that our students come from many backgrounds and funnel their curiosity into a strong desire to learn. To foster this curiosity, we offer a range of academic supports.
As human beings, we are layered and complex, and sometimes the issue is not the issue. We might face a challenge in a course that actually has more to do with circumstances in our lives outside the classroom. As an FLC student, you have access to resources that support the whole you.
Find someone to listen when life feels hectic. Student Wellness is a group of dedicated peers who hang out in a fun, lively space, and are there for you when you need a friendly ear.
Talk with a trained and licensed counselor, or counselor-in-training, for support in managing life's complexities. It's best to make an appointment, but you may stop in as needed. Your student fees cover four sessions, and you may continue counseling beyond that.
It's hard to study when your body doesn't feel well. The Health Center is here to support your medical and wellness needs, keeping your body strong and your mind sharp.
