Group Size and Ratio

Children ages 12 months to five years are accepted for enrollment at the Campbell Center. In addition to abiding by Colorado Shines Child Care Licensing and Administration Rules and Regulations, Campbell Child and Family Center prefers to follow NAEYC Best Practices ratios per classroom:

  • Toddler I Caterpillar classroom, 10 children capacity with 1:4 ratio (teacher:child),
  • Toddler II Tadpole classroom, 12 children capacity with 1:6 ratio,
  • Preschool I Lightning Bugs & Preschool II Rainbow Fish classrooms, 16 children capacity with 1:8 ratio.

8. In determining staff-child ratios, children who are in attendance for only part of the day are counted only while at the center.
