I have been involved in education throughout my professional life. As a United States Foreign Service Officer, I concentrated on international exchanges, post-secondary support and women’s issues. After leaving the service, I moved from a policy focus to a practical one, earning my education degree and teaching humanities and business classes at the secondary level.

Postings included South Africa, India, and Washington, D.C. Specific responsibilities included management of Fulbright Scholarships in South Africa, the American Library Bombay, and the development and assessment of programs ranging from women’s issues to free market and democratic systems in the Soviet Union, Russia, India and Africa.
