Career Profile:  Ten years with Harris-McBurney Company, an engineering and construction company specializing in communications and electrical distribution work in fifteen eastern and midwestern states. Responsibilities included marketing, labor relations and eventually direct line responsibility for the seven hundred employees in operations.

Twenty-six years with Verizon and its predecessor GTE. Responsibilities included: designing and implementing the optimum business process for both current and future capital investment management through which the firm controlled its annual three billion dollar capital program; directing a current planning, engineering, and construction organization in a line capacity; and leading an organization of a thousand employees with end to end responsibility for all network operations for six states and five million customers.
