About Chris Lyon

Chris Lyon is a senior lecturer of accounting in the School of Business Administration at Fort Lewis College. She joined the college in 2002. Previously, Ms. Lyon was a faculty member at Utah State University. Before her career in academia, she was a tax consultant in Deloitte’s Denver and San Francisco offices and for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Lexington, Kentucky. She also worked in tax, audit and accounting for various private companies and public accounting firms. Since 2002, Ms. Lyon has served as faculty advisor of the Fort Lewis chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honorary and service organization for accounting, finance and information systems students. Effective fall 2015, she is the chapter advocate for the Rocky Mountain and Missouri Valley regions of Beta Alpha Psi. Outside of Fort Lewis, Ms. Lyon is the vice president of Know Your Dough, a nonprofit that strives to promote financial literacy and wellness for youth and young adults.  

Ms. Lyon is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado.
