About the Skyhawk Summit
Fort Lewis College is proud to launch the inaugural Skyhawk Summit—a campus-wide experience bringing faculty and staff together to learn, connect, and celebrate as we close out the academic year. Step away from day-to-day work and join colleagues from across campus for interactive sessions, new perspectives, and time to connect. Together, we'll reflect on the year, share ideas, and strengthen the relationships that support our campus community.
What to expect
Choose from 15 breakout sessions led by colleagues across campus, offering practical insights, new ideas, and opportunities to learn from one another. Additional details, including session information and registration, will be shared soon.

Get involved
Interested in leading a breakout session? Faculty and staff are encouraged to share their knowledge and expertise by submitting a session proposal. Be part of the first Skyhawk Summit and help shape a new Fort Lewis College tradition. We’re looking for sessions that connect to one of the following focus areas:
- Wellness & Balance
Strategies to stay resilient, balanced, and well so we can better support others. Topics may include workload management, team culture, or navigating change.
- Teaching & Learning
Innovative and inclusive approaches to learning in and beyond the classroom. This could include pedagogy, assessment, or experiential learning.
- Student Success
Programs and people that help students persist and thrive. Topics may include retention, belonging, wraparound supports, or collaboration.
- Operational Knowledge
The systems and processes that shape our work. Sessions may explore budget and enrollment context, institutional data, or campus planning.
