If you've received a scholarship from a civic organization in Southwest Colorado, Fort Lewis College will match it, up to $500. The Civic Match Scholarship is available to all eligible FLC students and can be applied for at any time throughout the academic year.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Civic Match Scholarship, you must:
- Be admitted to Fort Lewis College
- Be seeking your first bachelor's degree
- Be enrolled full-time
- Have received a scholarship from an eligible civic organization in Southwest Colorado
Eligible civic organizations include local civic service clubs, veterans' posts, fraternal societies or associations, volunteer fire or rescue groups, and local civic leagues or associations of 10 or more persons, not organized for profit.
Eligible counties: Alamosa, Archuleta, Delta, Gunnison, La Plata, Mesa, Montezuma, Montrose, Ouray, Rio Grande, Saguache, San Juan, and San Miguel.
Note: Scholarships awarded and paid through Fort Lewis College do not qualify.
How to apply
- Log in to the scholarship portal using your FLC account.
- Complete the general scholarship application.
- Upload a letter or documentation from your civic organization confirming your scholarship award.
- Instructions for the Civic Match Scholarship are included in the general application.
