Update

The Fort Lewis College Foundation Scholarship application will open on Friday, December 1 for current students and March 13 for recently admitted students. Awarding typically begins in April, and recipients are notified between April and June. Deadline for all scholarships is April 11 unless otherwise noted in the criteria.

If you receive a scholarship offer for a Foundation scholarship, you will receive an email from foundscholarships@fortlewis.edu to your official Fort Lewis College email address.

  • You must respond to this email and upload your thank you letter as soon as possible. Failure to respond may lead to your award cancellation. If you were not selected for a Foundation Scholarship, consider applying again for the next academic year by the deadline.

*Beginning with this application cycle, students will not have to re-apply to be eligible for renewal of scholarships! If a student received a renewal-eligible scholarship for the 23-24 academic year, it can renew automatically.

Foundation & Departmental Scholarships

Foundation and Departmental Scholarships, including Alumni Scholarships and the Civic Match Scholarship, are sourced from private donors and provide financial assistance to our students. The Fort Lewis College Foundation offers hundreds of these privately funded scholarships each year.

Scholarship recipients are chosen based on academics, achievement, and financial need.

General scholarship requirements

  • You have been admitted to Fort Lewis College
  • You are a student seeking your first bachelor’s degree.
  • You will earn a minimum of 12 credits during the Fall and Spring semesters every year

Application guidelines

Applications received on or before April 11 are prioritized, though we accept later ones.
