Privately funded scholarships for FLC students

The FLC Foundation and individual academic departments offer hundreds of privately funded scholarships each year, including Alumni Scholarships and the Civic Match Scholarship. Awards are based on academics, achievement, and financial need.

How to apply

The Foundation Scholarship application opens on December 1 for all students.

  • Priority deadline: February 15 — applications received by this date are reviewed first
  • Awarding begins in April, with recipients notified between April and June
  • Renewals: Students do not need to reapply for renewal-eligible scholarships. Scholarships are renewed automatically if eligibility requirements are met.
  • If you receive a scholarship offer, you will receive an email from foundscholarships@fortlewis.edu to your official FLC email address.
  • We recommend you send a thank-you letter to your scholarship donor.

Eligibility requirements

To be considered for a Foundation scholarship, you must:

  • Be admitted to Fort Lewis College
  • Be seeking your first bachelor's degree
  • Earn a minimum of 12 credits during the Fall and Spring semesters each year
