Make curiosity your compass

SOBA Heidelberg trip group photo

What’s Germany like in the summer? Are there really castles all over the countryside? What kind of wine comes from Germany? Find out when you enroll in our Heidelberg study abroad program. Hold class in a 19th century chateau retrofitted with modern classroom technology. Tour vineyards to learn about the business of producing and selling wine, and go behind the scenes at the Audi factory. And when you’re not taking classes, Heidelberg awaits your exploration.

Email Doug & Chris Lyon, and they’ll add you to the Canvas course where you can get all the details to help you decide if this program is right for you and how to prepare for it.

How it works

Students at a castle in Germany

You’ll take three FLC courses (all of which move you toward a Business Administration or Accounting major or minor), taught by FLC faculty, with no credit transfer hassle. 80% of your classwork is live instruction; 20% is online. Your faculty have arranged excursions, too, to get you out of the classroom, and into German businesses. Additionally, you’ll have plenty of time to take in the German culture, history, and landscape on your own, or use Heidelberg as a launchpad to explore other parts of Europe at the end of the semester.

Quick info

You'll get all the details when you request to be added to the Canvas course, but here are a few quick tidbits to whet your appetite.
