Concert and Performance Discounts

Your Community Concert Hall offers a 10% employee discount to all Concert Hall produced performances. Discounts are also given to seniors (age 65 & above), students (with current ID), and children. View the available seating and make and purchase online or visit the Ticket Office located in the Durango Welcome Center at 802 Main Avenue in historic downtown Durango. Patrons who purchase 3 or more CCH produced events on one (1) sale will automatically receive an additional 15% discount. Groups of 10 or more can receive a 15% discount by calling the Ticket Office. The Concert Hall Box Office is open one (1) hours prior to curtain time.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Fort Lewis College offers two Employee Assistance Programs to all regular employees. The program is also available to dependents of eligible employees. This service provides up to 6-8 free counseling sessions per employee/dependent, per fiscal year. If the participating employee/dependents need to have more counseling sessions, they will be required to pay for extra services personally. Employees can feel secure in knowing that their identities are kept confidential, no person at Fort Lewis College will know they participated in the program. Other work/life benefits provided through EAP include financial information and coaching, childcare or eldercare consultation and referrals, interpersonal skills with co-workers or family, consultation for legal problems not related to employment and unlimited access to information.  

Profile EAP

Off-Campus appointments are available at Mercy Medical Center through Profile EAP. To make an appointment call 800-645-6571 or visit the Profile EAP websiteCompany Code: FLCOLL. Employees will have to present college IDs or a pay stub to verify employment and eligibility for the benefit.

C-SEAP

Family Responsive Employment Policies and Programs

To learn more about Fort Lewis College's commitment to family, please review specific policies. The Work-Life Wellness Committee serves as an on-campus advocate and advisory group for work-life policies and programs, including those which support a healthy balance between work and family. The State of Colorado's website also offers work-life balance programs.

On-Campus Child and Family Center

The Campbell Child and Family Center is an early care and education program with high quality staff. Employees who have children ages 1 year to 5 years of age can enroll their children in this on-campus childcare program.

Paid Annual and Sick Leave

Full-time and part-time Classified and Administrative & Professional (Exempt) Staff who are benefits eligible accrue annual and sick leave each pay period. Accrued time is pro-rated for part-time employees based on their FTE. Please refer to the Classified Handbook or Administrative & Professional (Exempt) Handbook for accrual rates.

Skycard

Your Skycard is your Employee ID, your Library card, as well as your ticket into athletic events. Advantages include significant discounts to the Durango Transit bus service and 20% discount at the FLC Skystore (except textbooks). Should you take advantage of an employee meal plan, Campus Dining website, Student Life Center membership or Outdoor Pursuits membership, you will need to present your SkyCard to access those services.

Tuition Discounts

Tuition Waiver for Employees

Thank you for your interest in the benefit of attending classes while being employed at Fort Lewis College. A tuition waiver is provided for benefited employees (non-temporary working at least 50%). Employees may take up to 8 hours of credits at FLC (per calendar year) tuition-free.

Please familiarize yourself with the Staff Study Privileges Policy and the Fort Lewis Educational Assistance Plan prior to beginning the tuition waiver process.

Please note that employees who want to use this benefit must be admitted through FLC's admission processes and must meet the application deadlines of August 1 for Fall semester, December 1 for Spring semester, and April 1 for the Summer semester.

Tuition Reduction for Spouse and Children

Complete Reduced Tuition Application

Thank you for your interest in the benefit of tuition reduction for spouses and children of Fort Lewis College employees.  Please familiarize yourself with the Tuition Reduction Policy prior to beginning the tuition reduction process.

The spouse and/or dependent child (children) of an eligible employee shall be eligible to receive a tuition reduction benefit if admitted to the College and enrolled in a degree program. Eligible employees are faculty (tenured and tenure‐track), all exempt and non‐temporary state classified employees of 50% time or greater.

The dependent child is defined as a natural, step, adopted or foster child under the age of 24 who is considered to be a “dependent” for Federal Income Tax purposes and who resides in the employee’s household.

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per term in order to qualify for this award.

Amount of Award

The award is twenty‐five percent (25%) of the student’s share of in‐state tuition for regular on‐campus courses.

Application Procedure

  1. The application must be completed and signed by the qualified Fort Lewis College employee and the applicant.
  2. Completed application should be presented to the Office of Human Resources (Berndt Hall, 210) for eligibility verification.
  3. Once eligibility is verified, the application should be brought to the Office of Financial Aid (Miller Student Services, 101).

A new application is required each year. An award year is defined as the period from July 1st through June 30th.

Notification

The Office of Financial Aid will usually make a decision within two weeks after receiving the completed application. The Office of Financial Aid will notify the applicant of the decision in writing.

The applicant will be contacted if additional information is required. Any questions pertaining to the Fort Lewis College Tuition Reduction Benefit Program should be directed to the Human Resources Office, 210 Berndt Hall 970-247-7428.

Work Out on Campus

The Student Life Center is a great place for employees to work out. Options include a variety of classes, including aerobics, Pilates and kickboxing - class schedules are e-mailed to campus faculty and staff at the beginning of every semester. You'll also find an impressive variety of state-of-the-art workout equipment and free weights. Punch passes or payroll deduction are available - contact the Student Life Center today for more information.
