Fort Lewis College and the City of Durango are excited to welcome NICA riders and families to the Colorado State High School Mountain Biking Championships on October 18-20, 2019 at Durango Mesa Park!
Competitors will ride the trails that helped create some of the greatest collegiate, professional, and Olympic riders in the history of mountain biking. In addition to claiming America's premier collegiate cycling program with 24 national championship titles, Fort Lewis College offers an array of four-year degrees, making us the perfect balance of academic success and athletic greatness.
Whether you’re a NICA competitor looking ahead to what’s next, a coach who wants the best for your athletes, or a spectator at the races, our cycling team invites you to explore our mountain-flanked campus during your time in Durango.
All weekend long, we'll be handing out a code you can use to apply to Fort Lewis College for free. Stop by the FLC tent at the mesa, come to the dinner and awards on Saturday evening, or take a campus tour, and put that $40 toward a new derailleur.
Fill out a contact card and sign up for a tour on-line, or at the tent and enter to win one of four $600, 4-year scholarships to Fort Lewis College (available to high school juniors and seniors). Not quite a junior yet? We still have lots of great giveaways to tide you over through your first two years of high school.
Two great ways to get a taste for life here are by taking a campus tour or by attending a Friday at the Fort event. Reserve your spot on a campus tour before they fill up. Sign up online today or at our tent on the mesa during the championships. We'll have swag, information on FLC, free enrollment applications and more.
Campus tours, which take around 60 minutes, will include a brief info session and a walk around campus. You'll hear about our academic programs, what it's like to live on campus, the application process, and the benefits of a Fort Lewis College education. In addition, we'll offer you a sneak peek at the Cycling office and cycling resources on campus. Tours are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
