About Ian Burnett
Ian Burnett was born and raised in beautiful Durango, Colorado. He graduated from Durango High School and Fort Lewis College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance.
During his time in college, he was also the president and a pivotal member of the Fort Lewis College cycling team. He has truly been embedded in the Durango community all his life.
After college, Ian seized the opportunity to pursue his dream of being a professional cyclist. He raced all over the world in many major events, including the USA Pro Challenge in Colorado, the Tour of Utah, and the Tour of Alberta.
After retiring from the professional peloton in 2014, Ian decided to put his business degree to good use and obtained his Colorado Real Estate License. He went on to have a fruitful, nearly decade-long career in real estate.
Ian is a parent to two children, Bowden and Maeve. He loves putting his local knowledge and enthusiasm for his hometown to good use in his role as the director of the Fort Lewis Cycling Team.
