How to join the FLC Skydive Team

Collegiate skydiving has been around since 1950! The FLC Skydive Team’s mission is to introduce and educate members about the sport of Skydiving.  As an FLC Skydive athlete/scholar, you can expect:

  •  2 on-ground practices a month with a USPA-certified skydiving coach
  • Individualized training plans based on your goals, strengths, and growth areas in free-fall and canopy skills
  • Travel opportunities to Skydive Moab and other licensed drop zones in the Four Corners area for free-fall and canopy practice
  • The opportunity to compete at the USPA Collegiate Nationals

  • Team travel opportunities to a variety of drop zones

Costs:

  • $100 for the fall semester.
  • $98 for a USPA Membership
  • Must pay for your jumps until you have achieved the “A” License. 

Requirements:

  • Must be a current FLC student with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
  • Current FLC Faculty/Staff
  • No academic, financial, or disciplinary holds.
  • Stay up to date with Club dues and paperwork.
  • Assist in events, fundraising, and marketing.
  • Adhere to the USPA Basic Safety Requirements.

Commitment Expected from Members: Keep your grades up and be ready to have fun in a competitive environment! Attendance to EVERY monthly meeting required to qualify for sponsored training benefits.

Schedule of Practices and Competitions: Practices TBA for Collegiate Nationals held annually in December.

Description of Club: Learn how to skydive through a USPA structured FJC (first jump course) held by an appropriately rated student skydiving instructor. Meetings will be held on the second Thursday of every month.

Participants of every meeting will be prepared to complete their first AFF (accelerated free fall) training skydive through Skydive Moab in Moab, Utah.

Club Mission: Educate young adults about the skydiving industry and prepare them to compete at Collegiate Nationals! (held annually in December.)
