School Served: Big Picture High School

College/University Attended: Agnes Scott College, Atlanta, GA, University of Fairbanks Alaska

Favorite thing about the college(s) you attended? Agnes Scott College was a tiny, truly unique women’s college where I got to know my professors well, meet world-class guest writers, and prepare for a career of service with amazing, forward-thinking women who are now leaders in their communities.  As for the University of Alaska Fairbanks, that was one of the biggest adventures of my life, and I loved sharing that educational experience with other adventure seekers who are drawn to that crazy, beautiful place!

Hobbies: Trail running, reading great books, writing, general adventuring outdoors with my family, rock/ice climbing, backpacking, and traveling

Colleges/Universities Attended: Dine College

Favorite thing about the college(s) you attended? In terms of how the campus is designed, the location of the campus, how the classes are taught, and the size of the classrooms, Dine College is unique. Navajo language, culture, and history is the very foundation of this institution and I am fortunate to have gone to school, and experience all that I have in my back yard as a Dine.

Hobbies: Artwork, Hiking, Camping, Fishing, Traveling, and anything that I can do with my little family.

Schools Served: Ignacio Middle School, Ignacio High School

Colleges/Universities Attended: Colorado Mesa University, Universidad de Murcia

Favorite thing about the college(s) you attended? My favorite part of CMU was the size of the university. It was big enough that there was always something happening, but small enough that it was easy to find your community. The smallness of the university made it easy to plug into/take advantage of opportunities that interested you like studying abroad, joining clubs, and attending events. It also meant that class sizes were small so I was able to develop strong relationships with all of my professors that have carried on past college.

Hobbies: Reading, cooking, running, traveling, yoga, spending time with loved ones, anything that involves laughter and/or being in the sunshine.

Favorite Quote:  “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” -Jackie Robinson
