Paul Booth receives Award of Distinction from the 2015 Communicator Awards
Fort Lewis College Department of Art & Design faculty member Paul Booth has received the 2015 Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program recognizing "big ideas in marketing and communications."
About the award
Mr. Booth's award-winning piece was an environmental poster titled "Tradition?" created for his client, eco-VOICE, a nonprofit organization that promotes environmental issues. The poster raises awareness about the ethics, logic, and ecological impact of growing and cutting down trees yearly in the name of the Christmas tradition.
The Communicator Awards program receives more than 6,000 entries from agencies and companies of all sizes, making it one of the world's largest awards programs of its kind, judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts.
Mr. Booth explains the award.
"As a designer, I have worked for the last decade to promote environmental issues and create posters that resonate with people hoping to change people's environmental habits."
