Carl is Professor Emeritus of Engineering and Renewable Energy (San Juan College, Farmington, NM). He designed and taught courses for engineering transfer for 27 years. He also started a renewable energy training program and has lived with off-grid solar electricity and heat for 20 years.

César Molina received a bachelor’s degree in General Engineering with an Electro/Mechanical concentration and a minor in Mathematics from Fort Lewis College in the summer of 2021. He is currently the Shop Coordinator for the Physics and Engineering department where he provides technical and logistical support in the fabrication of different systems or parts proposed by students and professors while ensuring safety and proper use of different machines including mills, lathes, water jets and CNC machines. As a student,  he was able to able to gain research experience in different areas including computer-aided design, composite fabrication and testing, hydraulic modeling and analysis, and sensor testing with data acquisition. He was also a team member and team captain of the Fort Lewis College Men's Basketball Team and a peer educator for the Math Assistance Center where he tutored students in their math courses.
