Yellow and red book titled "Español" representing our K-12 World Languages Education major

Don’t just learn Spanish, teach it. What’s more, learning Spanish at FLC means learning the cultures, histories, and current social contexts of Spanish speakers. You’ll integrate your learning of culture and language with the fundamentals of teaching. This is a rigorous program, so talk with a Sociology Department mentor early in your college career if you think this is the path for you.

This program is designed to support you in attaining teacher licensure in Colorado. To teach Spanish in K-12 public schools, you’ll combine the best of a Spanish language degree (called Borders & Languages major at FLC) with the academics required for a K-12 Teaching license. Find out more about our K-12 Teaching programs on the Teacher Education Department site.
