Recognize a colleague with a Fli-Hi Award

Want to show your appreciation for a fellow employee’s hard work? The Fli-Hi Award is a simple way to give them the recognition they deserve. Just follow these three steps:

  1. Fill out the online submission form
  2. We send a copy to you, the recipient, the recipient's supervisor, and put in the employee’s files

Each month, Fli-Hi Award recipients will also be celebrated in a campus-wide spotlight! Thank you for supporting and encouraging the amazing work happening at Fort Lewis College. Let’s keep building each other up.

A huge shoutout to Cagan Campbell! He's been doing an incredible job keeping all our athletic events running smoothly this semester. His hard work and dedication keep FLC athletics flowing without a hitch. Thank you, Cagan, for all you do!

Thank you to the PPS Grounds Team: Carl Gregg, Bert Poulton, Greg Wallace, Jake Kuylen, Matthew Forgrave, Michael Stowers, Preston Charlie, Thomas Ross! With the recent rainfall that has come down, I drove around campus and saw the Grounds department braving the rain and clearing the storm drains to make sure they were operational and moving the water where it needed to go. I want to thank them for their tireless work and helping the fort is so many ways that go unnoticed. Carl and his staff do an amazing job keeping the campus running.

Let's celebrate Dr. Carolyn Cummins! Her outstanding work in community and partner outreach, especially through the Tribal Water Media Fellowship and FLC Water Week events. She continues to inspire and elevate our campus connections. Way to go, Dr. Cummins!

Cyrus St. Pierre rocks! He and the IT team made our TRIO SSC computer refresh a breeze. He was friendly, patient, and super helpful the whole way. We're so lucky to have you, Cyrus!

Way to go Dani Navarro! She organized an awesome de-stress event for TRIO students, building community and spreading positivity. Her natural connection with students and her TRIO spirit shines bright! So glad she's on our team!

Shoutout to Emma Salazar! She cares for each student, advocates for them, and makes sure they get the support they need. Emma's heart, dedication, and social justice spirit makes a huge difference everyday!

Thank you to Jayson Drexler, Ryan Hargrave, Michael Reyes, Rod Carter do an amazing job keeping the heat on and water flowing all around campus. Without their hard work and dedication to the Fort, we surely would be at a loss. I can't thank these individuals enough for their service but try to every chance I get, which is never enough. Yay, Joe Rendon! He keeps the HR front office running smoothly, helps with onboarding, and is always ready to lend a hand. On top of that, he's involved on campus, teaches, and brings great energy wherever he goes!

Way to go, Kellin Herman! He helped the Accounting Office roll out the Fresh Service ticketing system smoothly, setting up dashboards, testing, and solving any issues along the way. Friendly, helpful, and reliable! Thanks for making this project a success, Kellin!

High five to Larenz Esplain! He's been transforming the NAC, training a fantastic new team, and leading with creativity and intention. A thoughtful advocate and strategic thinker, Larenz makes a big impact for students and the space!

Hats off to Mariela Avalos! She went above and beyond, helping a student move after hours so he could stay at FLC and continue his classes safely. Her dedication and kindness make a huge difference!

Homecoming simply would not be the same for our students without McKenna. Not only does she help plan the week's events year-round with the committee, but she is also at many of them, making sure our students are supported and having fun the entire time. This year, she was instrumental in making weather-related decisions that could have derailed events. Instead, they were huge successes! If we had Homecoming Queen nominations, she'd be top of the list!

Shoutout to Pete McCormick! He guided his teams through the long reaccreditation process, kept everyone on track, encouraged brainstorming, and made us feel appreciated every step of the way. Seriously, this guy deserves a vacay!

Way to go, Sako Harris! She's always friendly, welcoming, and makes picking up packages a great experience. We're so lucky to have her on our team!

Hats off to Sand Haley for always going the extra mile to help future Skyhawks on their journey to FLC!
