I'm nominating Andraya for a variety of reasons! She consistently creates a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for our students and makes a genuine effort to ensure students feel seen, supported, and valued. She has also quickly become active in the broader campus and local community, showing up for our students and coworkers in ways that go above and beyond what would be expected of someone so new to the role. Her dedication, approachability, and commitment to creating a diverse and supportive space make her incredibly deserving of this recognition. I really enjoy sharing a wall with her in the office.
Thank you to Carl and his team for getting Grub Hub's new freezer safely into our space! They were so fast, efficient and organized! We haven't had a freezer in over 6 months, and this will greatly support our capacity to distribute meat to our community. THANK YOU!!!s very helpful to students and helping them on their next chapter. Great work Celeste!
The Registrar's Office completed over 600 transfer student evaluations for the fall semester and would not have been successful without the assistance of the Admissions Pro Team including Chillon Dickson. They work diligently paying close attention to detail. They are a pleasure to work with and are greatly appreciated!
I am nominating Chrysanthemum for the exceptional support provided during Fiesta on the Mesa. Chrys went above and beyond taking ownership of their role as the volunteer director for Fiesta, Chry's ability to assess the event's changing needs and respond calmly and effectively helped everything remain organized and run smoothly. Chrys showed leadership, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed and made an incredible difference. Fiesta on the Mesa was stronger because of their contributions, and I am deeply grateful for the care, time, and energy given to support both me and the event.
Dani helped create and facilitate one of the best welcome-back events TRIO has held for its students in a long time. She creatively and enthusiastically led the TRIO jeopardy game, helped students feel welcomed and involved, and has an incredible knack for helping students feel at ease to be themselves. Fostering these kinds of connections will directly support TRIO's retention efforts and students' success!! We are so lucky Dani is on our team.

Emma has been an invaluable Assistant Director. She anticipates what needs to be done and plans ahead, delegating to the professional team and student staff alike. She's genuinely interested in students' well-being and has a huge heart. Students naturally feel at-ease sharing their academic and non-academic struggles with her. She's incredibly adept at coordinating with other folks around campus, understanding the importance of supportive relationships. Emma has taught me (and others!) so much and we are lucky she's on our team!
Greg is the O.G. of FLC customer service. I follow the Skyhawk Family social media page and his replies are always helpful and patient. He knows a lot about the campus, the students, and the operations. He's a quiet and friendly force that motivates folks and makes people feel supported. So glad he's at FLC.
Hunter responds promptly to all IT requests. He has a great personality and actively seeks to help all FLC faculty and staff with their computer problems related to startup issues, finding files, transferring files, helping with letters of reference for students headed to graduate school, and assorted other IT/computer issues which we all must deal with. He is great to work with and very prompt.
Jen is a great support to faculty. She recently helped me by suggested a tool for an interactive presentation and I'm grateful to have an expert to go to with questions about how to elevate the quality of my work. She also responded very quickly to the Katz leadership team recently when we needed support from the CTL. Her eagerness to help us find a positive path forward is greatly appreciated.
I am uplifting LeAnn Brubaker for, once again, being a shining star of competence and enthusiasm, and saving the day with a quality production. I was more than timid to be centrally responsible for the audio production duties for Fiesta On The Mesa, the 14-piece Mariachi band in particular. When LeAnn was asked if she could help there was not a moment of hesitation. She wrangled up Logan Roybal, a graduate and excellent sound engineer, and a raft of equipment, coordinated with CATS on cooperative needs, oversaw equipment placement for safety and quality, and took a load off of my shoulders and my soul. She was without hesitation ready to help out on this important, culturally rich, beautiful campus event and I know that I could not have done better. Thank you, LeAnn and thank you, Logan!

When LeAnn was asked if she could help there was not a moment of hesitation. Logan took a complicated layout, rolled with the unexpected needs, and the event soared with flying colors. He and LeAnn were ready without hesitation to help out on this important, culturally rich, beautiful campus event and I know that I could not have done better. Thank you, LeAnn and thank you, Logan!
First, Mariela helped organize and facilitate one of the best welcome-back events TRIO has held for its students in a long time. She organized a fun and informative in-room scavenger hunt activity and helped students feel included and at-ease. She's a born teacher. Second, she attended a meeting with the Associate Provost, precollegiate TRIO staff, and us so we could all identify a success plan for a struggling student. Her experience is so invaluable to other students' success at FLC!! We are lucky she's on our team.
The Registrar's Office completed over 600 transfer student evaluations for the fall semester and would not have been successful without the assistance of the Admissions Pro Team. They work diligently paying close attention to detail. Sand has taken on more responsibility that plays a vital role in creating the electronic form that uploads into Workday. They are a pleasure to work with and are greatly appreciated!
Sarah graciously volunteered to lead a session for new faculty on teaching. Sarah offered wisdom and practical advise to new colleagues. It was very useful.
