Orientation is full of fun activities and essential information to help you transition to FLC. Get academic success tips, meet students, tour campus, and get an introduction to campus and community involvement opportunities.
Our Summer Orientation is mandatory for all first-year students. Pick from one of the summer dates below. At Summer Orientation, finalize your class schedule, get an on-campus experience, and meet future Skyhawks like you! Events will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Orientation registration will open on March 6.
New students will arrive on campus for Check-In on Friday, August 23. After checking in, new students are invited to move into their housing if they are going to live on campus.
*Student-athletes, PEAK, and Compass students arrive earlier. You will get emails with more information about how to register for Check-In.

We recommend students attend Orientation in June orJuly so they can meet with an advisor, register for classes in person, review billing statements, and start building their FLC community. The summer sessions allow students and families time to focus on settling in on Move-In Day, August 23.
Do you want to make new friends before classes start? Do you enjoy the outdoors or connecting with people with similar interests? If you answered YES to either of these questions, then our PEAK Experiences are for you! These are small group experiences led by trained student leaders. And they'll be the foundation of your new community of friends, classmates, and campus life.
Choose from hiking through the San Juan mountain range, engaging in cultural activities, rafting down the San Juan River, or getting a head start on your nursing education.

This is a multi-day river trip where you float the San Juan River during the day and camp outside next to the river under the stars.
Build community with peers from multiple tribal communities. Over 170 tribal nations are represented at FLC from as far north as the Arctic Circle to the Southern reaches of the eastern seaboard.
Kick off your college career with the Pre-Nursing Peak Experience! You will join peers pursuing the Pre-Nursing degree track during this immersive, hands-on, experiential program.
Your new backyard is full of alpine meadows, trout-filled lakes, deep forests, and jagged high peaks, so why not explore it with a group of your new peers?
