As part of FLC's active response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Student Life Center will be closed until further notice. In the spirit of staying fit, this is a great opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors to conduct your daily workouts.

The Best Outdoor Workouts

Go out and do

Student Life Center (SLC)

FLC student using the climbing wall at the Student Life Center

As a student, your fees include a membership to our Student Life Center. Reach for new heights on the climbing wall, pump some iron in the weight room, raise your heartrate on a treadmill or the indoor track, or round up a few pals for some pickup b-ball. On a sunny day, of which we have no shortage in Durango, head outside to the tennis courts or the frisbee golf course.

In addition to making use of these facilities for your wellness, you can also participate in organized activities like club sports and intramural sports, or wilderness adventure trips with Outdoor Pursuits.

Faculty & staff

Best way to stay fit is to build your workout into your day. Before you even commute home, swing by the SLC to hit the treadmills, do some non-explosive strength training in the Nest, or take a few laps on the indoor track. Memberships are very affordable, and for infrequent users, you may opt for a punch pass.  Bring your own lock for a day use locker or rent one for the semester.

Alumni memberships

Get yourself a steeply discounted alumni membership and relive old glories in the SLC. Keep that Skyhawk bod firm and trim with all the strengthening and cardio you can fit into your post-student life.
