A community of opportunity with the Black Student Resource Center

Get active in creating an enriched Black experience in our FLC community. Take part in planning campus events that celebrate the value of Black American voices and raise awareness of the challenges that BIPOC face in our society today.

We promote scholarship, foster leadership, and cultivate community for students through the committed, collaborative effort and support of faculty, staff, and the Durango community. You can use the space as a comfortable place to study, get tutoring, and connect with friends. The BSRC is a hub for the community and working space of the Black Student Union.

The Black Student Union

FLC's Black Student Union works towards diversity and inclusion for any students that make up the student voice here at Fort  Lewis College and within the community of Durango. Our organization works in solidarity to provide the community an enriched Black experience for those who might similarly identify culturally or ethnically. However, we welcome students from all backgrounds and make it a point to include students from all walks of life.

Black Student Union works to uplift and support the African-American voice through honor, celebration, and, most importantly, acknowledgment.
