Our Purpose

Outdoor Pursuits provides outdoor and social experiences emphasizing environmental awareness, outdoor education, challenge, personal development, managed risk, a sense of community, and fun.

Outdoor Pursuits Programs and Services

  • Day, Weekend, and Extended Trips.
  • Local, Regional, and International Trip Programs
  • Weekly Activities (i.e. Kayak Pool Sessions, Movie Nights, etc.)
  • Extensive Outdoor Equipment Check-out
  • Climbing Wall
  • Student Outdoor Leadership (SOL) Program

What you get with an OP membership

  • Eligibility for participation on Outdoor Pursuits trips, activities, clinics & workshops
  • FREE use of OP equipment and gear for the academic calendar year
  • Access to Ski & Bike Shop facility and tools
  • Access to the Outdoor Adventure Resource Library

Student Memberships 

All current FLC students pay student fees for access to Outdoor Pursuits and all of its services. A valid Skycard is all that is required for access to the program.  In order to ensure access to the program, all students must be registered for classes.   

Faculty & Staff Memberships 

Current FLC Faculty and Staff Membership:  $100 (valid Aug. 27, 2018 to mid-August)

**Please note that OP does not prorate memberships and that the Faculty & Staff Membership does not include access to the Student Life Center Climbing Wall.  An Student Life Center Membership must be purchased in order to utilize the climbing wall. We accept cash, check, credit/debit, or Skycard. 

Your First Visit to OP

Upon your first visit to the OP office, located in the Student Life Center, all current Students and Faculty/Staff Members will complete an OP Membership Application Form for programming and equipment liability purposes.
