Alan Hill is a proud graduate of Fort Lewis College (1978), and will always be a strong advocate for the College. His time serving on the Board of Trustees has been extremely rewarding, and has allowed him to observe, first hand, the quality educational experience offered by FLC. During his time at the College, he competed in intercollegiate athletics as a member of the men’s basketball team, completing four years that began as a walk-on (non-scholarship) player. In his senior year, he was honored as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete for Fort Lewis College.
Alan continued on to the University of Colorado School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1981. He has been licensed to practice law in Colorado since 1981. Alan’s practice has focused on water law, first in Durango, then the Denver area. He is currently a principal in a firm he founded, Hill and Pollock, LLC, in Denver. He has extensive experience in governance, having represented municipalities, special districts, and other governmental entities, as well as appearing in front of city councils, special district boards and administrative boards.
Alan's term expires December 31, 2022.
