About Nora Flucke

Dr. Flucke (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Public Health in the Health Sciences Division at Fort Lewis College, where she teaches courses in health policy, health disparities, social determinants of health, and research methods. She mentors undergraduate research students and supervises experiential learning experiences through senior seminar courses. Dr. Flucke’s expertise as an educator lies in developing and evaluating curricula for non-traditional and first-generation students and learners from rural, indigenous, and minority communities.

As a principal investigator, Dr. Flucke conducts health services and clinical research in cancer navigation, care coordination, and access to health care. She holds the patent for the Oncology Nurse Navigator Patient Assessment (ONNPA©), a clinical instrument for identifying barriers to cancer treatments. Dr. Flucke’s research has been disseminated in prominent peer-reviewed publications, for which she regularly contributes as a peer-reviewer of articles and book chapters.
