The online application takes about 15-20 minutes to complete, and it could be the 15 minutes that sets the course of the rest of your life. We think you'll find FLC is the kind of place where your creativity can guide you anywhere you want to go. With small classes, close-knit departments, abundant experiential learning opportunities, and a devoted faculty, you can transform your passions into reality. You know who you are, come see what you can do.
As a full-time first-year student, you'll receive a pass to ski for free at our two local sites. Hit the powder Colorado is famous for at Purgatory Mountain Resort, just 30 minutes north of Durango. And for aprés-class runs, hit the region's only night skiing slopes: Hesperus Ski Area.
Come to FLC for your education, and be part of our thriving Native student population. 41% of FLC students are Native American or Alaska Native, representing 177 tribes and villages. The Native American Tuition Waiver offers a unique educational opportunity, supported by additional scholarships to assist with expenses.
Diverse & inclusive
FLC continually ranks as one of the most diverse college campuses in the nation. Over half of our students are students of color, and represent an astounding number of indigenous communities, and 15 countries outside the US. Many students become the first in their family to earn a college degree. All of our students make our campus a vibrant place to exchange ideas and experiences.
You're not alone in wondering: does FLC offer the majors I'm interested in? Can I afford to go to school at FLC? These questions are front of mind for most people on the verge of going to college. Here are some answers.
FLC offers around 50 majors, minors, and certificate programs. We're adding new programs all the time, as the demands from our world change: new problems to solve, and new workplace roles to fill. We'll get you to the front of the pack.
We believe that education isn't only for those who can afford it. To level the playing field the best we can, we offer a generous array of scholarships to our incoming first-year students through the FLC Foundation, as well as our academic departments.
