The Center provides a centralized space for support and resources for Fort Lewis College’s women, LGBTTQIA students, and male allies. We are currently located in 145 Reed Library. The center is used by students for meetings, events, studying and socializing.
Vision: For the Center to be a welcoming place open to the entire FLC community that will help students reach their highest goals in their personal, educational, and professional lives. This center will provide a safe and supportive space for female and LGBTTQ students, faculty, and staff. The resource center will provide the entire community with educational and support services, resources for advocacy, and referral programs. It will promote advocacy, collaboration, celebration, and education around issues related to gender and sexual identity. The center will serve as a collaborative space for the GWS program, PRISM, Feminist Voice, and individuals of the community to achieve their common goals. Like the Native American Center and El Centro, the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center will powerfully illustrate FLC’s genuine commitment to these members of our community.
