Marya Corrigan, Director
Marya grew up near Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received a B.A. in Spanish from Bennington College, then was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador for two years. She received an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of New Mexico. Marya has spent twenty years working in programs that help disadvantaged students prepare for educational success. She believes strongly in the power of education to transform lives, and has chosen to make a career of helping individuals plan for and attain their educational goals.
Noah Drouin, Academic Advisor
Noah was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts and grew up in southern New Hampshire. He attended Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire, receiving a B.S. in Secondary Education and History, and later received his M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Keene State as well. Noah is a recent Colorado citizen, having moved to Durango with his partner in July 2021. He enjoys music, video games and watching sports in his free time. Noah has a passion for student support and advocacy and is thrilled to bring his experience and enthusiasm to the TRIO Upward Bound program.
Tess Marriott, Program Coordinator
Tess is originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin where she was raised and attended college. She received a BS in Criminal Justice from Viterbo University. After graduating from college, she moved to Colorado with her fiancé and has enjoyed living in the beautiful state of Colorado since 2016. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her family and their two dogs. Tess enjoys working with TRIO Upward Bound because she loves helping students to reach their full potential.
