These include technical research activities in catalysis, coal characterization and beneficiation, process chemistry, block copolymers, analytical chemistry, and managerial assignments in analytical chemistry, polymers and internal consulting groups. Served on the Leadership Teams for Shell Oil Company’s Exploration and Production Research Center (Bellaire, Texas) and Royal Dutch Shell’s Shell Exploration and Production Technology Applications and Research (Rijswijk, The Netherlands) prior to retirement in 2000.

Final activities included serving as an internal consultant for strategy development, business model development for research, and organizational redesign and development for the Shell E&P laboratories in the US and The Netherlands. My final assignment was serving as the Change Manager to merge the E&P laboratories of Royal Dutch Shell and Shell Oil Company.
