The healthcare field is wide-ranging, and this one-year certificate program can assist you in navigating the many options available beyond becoming a doctor or nurse.

You’ll focus on social and cultural factors involved in patient care, such as poverty and access to services, as well as cultural values and perspectives. In this way, you’ll become familiar with the issues many of your future patients face.

 

Coursework

The core courses in this program are in biology and chemistry. As you build it out with electives, you can deepen your biology base with courses like anatomy, human physiology, or molecular microbiology. Alternatively, you can broaden your studies with courses from these departments:
