Dual Enrollment for High School Students

Ask whether FLC Dual Enrollment is available through your school and discuss the courses you may want to take. Work with your high school counselor and the Dual Enrollment Coordinator to choose courses that fit your goals and high school graduation requirements.

The application is free and takes about 15 minutes to complete.
When you apply:

1. Create an Admission Portal account using a personal email address you’ll continue to use after high school.
2. Check your email for your PIN, then create a password and log in.
3. Start a new application and select Non-Degree Seeking Undergraduate.
4. When asked what type of student you are, select Dual enrollment student.
5. Select the term when you plan to begin taking FLC courses.
6. Complete the remaining sections of the application, including the College Opportunity Fund acknowledgment.

After you submit your application, your parent or legal guardian will receive an electronic permission form within two hours. FLC cannot process your application until the form is electronically signed and submitted.

Admission decisions: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You’ll typically receive a decision within one week after your application is complete.

Meet with your high school counselor to finalize the FLC courses you’ll take.

Before classes begin:

• Colorado residents: Apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF) and authorize it for use at FLC.
• Submit required immunization records or exemption documentation.
• Complete a FERPA waiver if you want to authorize someone to access your student education records.
• Submit a photo for your SkyCard.
• Check Canvas for course and program information.
• Get a parking permit if you plan to drive to campus.
• Order required textbooks and course materials at least two weeks before your first day of class.
• Attend Dual Enrollment Orientation.
• Review your class schedule, course location, and start date before the semester begins.
