Dual Enrollment for High School Students

You'll need to meet the criteria established by your high school and receive approval prior to applying for admission.

The dual enrollment admission application is free. It takes 15-minutes to complete, and it does not require any additional paperwork.

After you submit your application, your parent or legal guardian will receive an electronic permission form within two hours. Your application cannot be processed until the form is electronically signed and submitted.

Now that you're officially admitted, it's time to accept our offer of admission and confirm enrollment so you can reserve your spot and register for classes.

Accept the offer of admission

Activate your FLC account. Find your FLC Student ID number in your admission portal and follow the instructions to "Activate your Account.

Schedule your registration appointment

Meet with your high school counselor to choose Fort Lewis College courses that support your academic goals and high school graduation requirements. Dual enrollment advising sessions take place at your high school. If you need additional support, schedule a virtual appointment with the Dual Enrollment Coordinator.

• History: HIST 280 and 281
• Political science: PS 110
• Science: BIO 140, ENVS 100, GEOL 170, and CHEM 123
• Psychology: PSYC 157 and 254
• Sociology: SOC 100
• Philosophy: PHIL 141
• Engineering: ENGR 103
• Chemistry: CHEM 150
• Biology: BIO 110

There are a few things you need to take care of before you can jump into your college coursework at FLC. Use this checklist to make sure you’re ready to go when the semester starts.

• Apply for the College Opportunity Fund.
• Submit immunization records.
• Complete a FERPA waiver.
• Submit a photo for your Skycard. 
• Check your Canvas account.
• Have a car? Get a parking permit.
• Order your textbooks at least two weeks before your first day of class.
• Attend Dual Enrollment Orientation
• Go to your class!
