Aubrey Swindle
Graduate Intern

Hi! My name is Aubrey, and I am a counseling intern, athlete wellness coach, and graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. I am also an alum dual student-athlete,  where I competed in soccer and ran track. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and a minor in coaching and nutrition.

My work is deeply rooted in helping individuals build a sense of safety within themselves through nervous system regulation, enabling them to better understand their emotions, navigate transitions, and create meaningful change that brings them closer to their most aligned and authentic selves. My experiences as an athlete continue to shape how I show up in the counseling space, particularly in my understanding of pressure, performance, identity, and what it means to be human beyond achievement. I am drawn to helping individuals from all walks of life reconnect with themselves outside of external expectations and come home to themselves.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time in coffee shops, listening to podcasts, quality time with loved ones, or getting lost in a good book. I also spend a lot of my time outdoors, whether it's paddle boarding in the summer on the Animas, snowboarding in the winter at Purgatory, or nice long walks in the fall on the river trail. I have a burning passion for self-growth and enjoy spending time in solitude to recharge and meet new layers of myself.
