Get emergency information with Skyhawk Alert

Skyhawk Alert is FLC's emergency notification system. It provides urgent information and instructions by text, email, and phone during campus emergencies, unexpected closures, and off-campus incidents that may affect the FLC community. Skyhawk Alerts may be sent by text, email, and phone.

Students and employees are automatically enrolled using their FLC email and the phone number listed in Workday. Keep your phone number up to date in Workday to ensure you receive alerts.

People without an FLC account, including family members, visitors, and contractors, can receive Skyhawk Alerts by text and phone.

What to expect from Skyhawk Alerts

Skyhawk Alerts are designed to quickly tell you what's happening and what action to take. Examples may include:

  • Campus lockdown. Return to rooms and shelter in place. Police are securing buildings. More updates will follow.

  • Classes canceled due to severe weather. Check your email for more details.

  • Mountain lions spotted near campus buildings. Use caution.

FLC may send additional alerts as a situation changes, including outside normal business hours. More detailed information may also be shared through FLC email, the website, social media, and campus digital screens. Because text messages and phone calls rely on outside providers such as cellular carriers, delivery cannot be guaranteed.
