You love music, you love teaching; let your passion inspire others to find the joy in making music. You’ll learn the skills to teach music to elementary, middle, and high school students, while laying the undergraduate foundation for teacher licensure. This is a rigorous program, so talk with a Music Department mentor early in your college career if you think this is the path for you.

This program is designed to support you in attaining teacher licensure in Colorado. To teach music in K-12 public schools, you’ll combine the best of a music degree with the academics required for a K-12 Teaching license. Find out more about our K-12 Teaching programs on the Teacher Education Department site.
