The COSI Achieve Scholarship provides financial assistance and additional support to eligible Colorado students beginning their studies at FLC. Recipients can receive $2,000 per year for up to four years as long as they continue to meet program requirements. Recipients also receive help navigating resources, professional development opportunities, workshops, and other programming designed to support their success.
Priority is given to students who are the first in their families to attend college and those who qualify for a federal Pell Grant. There is no separate scholarship application. FLC automatically considers eligible students and awards scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available.
Eligibility for the COSI
To be considered, students must:
- Be a Colorado resident
- Be a first-year college student or first-year transfer student
- Be eligible for a Pell Grant or have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 14,790 or lower
- Priority is given to first-generation college students
Program requirements
Students who receive the scholarship must sign an agreement and:
- Attend required workshops each semester
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Remain continuously enrolled during the fall and spring semesters until graduation
