tuition & aid
When you apply to FLC as a first-year student, you will automatically be considered for our merit-based scholarships (Presidential, Provost, Dean’s Tuition Scholarships, New Mexico Reciprocal or Western Undergraduate Exchange Scholarships). No additional application is necessary. Students will be considered for one merit scholarship; merit scholarships may not be combined.
FLC automatically determines eligibility for and applies The Dean's, Provost's and Presidential tuition scholarships during admission. Consideration is based on high school GPA, as well as composite ACT or total SAT scores. Awards range from $3,000 to $5,000 per year for in-state students, and $6,000 to $10,000 for out-of-state students, and are renewable for up to four years.
For residents of New Mexico
This merit scholarship brings FLC tuition to the “in-state rate” for residents of New Mexico. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 and 21 ACT or 1060 SAT are required for eligibility. Scholarship is renewable if you continue to meet renewal criteria.
For residents of AK, AZ, CA, HI, MT, ND, NM, NV, OR, SD, UT, WA, and WY, as well as Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
This merit scholarship is available to first-time degree-seeking undergraduate students who are a resident of a WUE state. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 and 21 ACT or 1060 SAT are required for eligibility. Scholarship is renewable if you continue to meet renewal criteria.
Foundation & departmental scholarships are sourced from private donors and available to first-time degree-seeking undergraduate students based on academics, achievement, and financial need. These scholarships require their own application and are due on or before February 1 each year.
Our Alumni Engagement office provides scholarships to the children and grandchildren of FLC alumni. When you complete the application for foundation and departmental scholarships, you will be considered for the Alumni Scholarship.
