Turn your associate's degree into a bachelor's degree

San Juan College graduates may qualify for scholarships that make it more affordable to complete a bachelor's degree at Fort Lewis College.

San Juan College Reciprocal Scholarship

Eligible New Mexico residents who earn an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree from San Juan College can attend FLC at the in-state tuition rate.

Eligibility

  • Be a New Mexico resident
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 across all colleges and universities you've attended
  • Earn an AA or AS degree from San Juan College before attending FLC

To continue receiving the scholarship in future terms, you must maintain a cumulative FLC GPA of at least 2.0.

How to receive the scholarship

  • No separate application is required. We'll automatically consider you during the admission process.
  • Submit a transcript showing completion of your San Juan College degree by the Census Date of your first semester at FLC.
  • The Census Date is the 12th day of classes during the fall and spring semesters and is the deadline to withdraw from a course without financial penalty.

San Juan College Honors Scholarship

Earn an additional $1,000 for your first year at FLC if you complete your San Juan College degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25. Turn your associate's degree into a bachelor's degree

  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25
  • Earn an AA or AS degree from San Juan College
