San Juan College Reciprocal Scholarship

Students and graduates of San Juan College who are New Mexico residents can work toward a bachelor’s degree at Fort Lewis College at the in-state tuition rate through the San Juan College Reciprocal Scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Must be a resident of New Mexico
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 from all higher education institutions
  • Must have earned an AA or AS from San Juan College before attending Fort Lewis College

Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.00 at Fort Lewis College to retain the scholarship in future terms.

How to receive this scholarship

No application is required. You will be automatically considered during the admission process. You must submit transcripts showing your San Juan College degree completion by the Census Date of your starting semester.

Census Date is the last day of each semester when students can withdraw from classes without a financial penalty. It occurs on the 12th day of classes during the fall and spring semesters.


SJC Honors Scholarship

This scholarship is separate from the San Juan College Reciprocal Scholarship. Students who graduate from San Juan College with honors receive an additional $1,000 for their first year at Fort Lewis College. This is a one-time award.

Eligibility

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Must have earned an AA or AS from San Juan College
