FLC student using the climbing wall at the Student Life Center

At Fort Lewis College, movement, community, and time outdoors aren't extras — they're essential to student success. Recreational Services supports Skyhawks' wellbeing through programs and facilities built to meet students at every stage of their wellness journey.

Your student fees include full access to the Student Life Center, where you'll find a 3-court gymnasium, strength training and cardio equipment, a climbing wall, indoor track, and group exercise classes.

Our programs go beyond your Student Life Center. Outdoor Pursuits connects students to the region through wilderness trips and adventure programming. Intramural and Club Sports offer structured competition and the chance to build lasting connections. Together, these programs reflect our commitment to whole-student wellbeing — physical, social, and personal.

The treadmills at FLC's Student Life Center

The best way to stay fit is to build your workout into your day. Before commuting home, swing by the SLC to hit the treadmills, do some non-explosive strength training in the Nest, or take a few laps on the indoor track. Memberships are very affordable, and infrequent users can opt for a punch pass
